We were below the Google My Business (GMB) map pack before we optimized our GMB page. Because our map pack wasn't' optimized we were losing so much organic traffic to our website for our niche keywords: "digital marketing agency Mississauga" and digital marketing services Mississauga" which had a monthly search volume of (100-300).
Long story short, we optimized our GMB with a strategy which resulted to increase organic traffic.

After going tagging our photos we performed the following activities in other to optimize for local search (SEO).
The first thing we did was optimized the categories of our GMB listing so it was completely built out for optimal local reach. Optimized the listing description. We ensure there were plenty of LSI and thematic relevance for the best results
We geo tagged all of the photos on the GMB listing intelligently optimized EXIF data with keywords in the alt-texts. We added ten images. The more the images the better your search visibility, more so it’s better to use original images.
We optimized the Google places with business description with focus keywords, geotagged images, and NAP
We embedded the map on our website.
The overall time duration to complete the project was about a week.
From the time we optimized our Google My Business page until now, we have been ranking top on Google Map pack for the keyword phrase "digital marketing agency Mississauga" and digital marketing services Mississauga".
